Analysis 

The opening sequence begins with the production company logo and a l cut off screen sound of a character addressing someone. The screen cuts from black to picture and an establishing shot of dimly lit, interior room devoid of color. Next, the director subtly introduces Crumb a multi personality character, using a pan movement set at a low angle to showcase his power in the opening scene. The shot is a long shot that then cuts to the next frame for shot reverse shot editing technique used to reveal a group of young women tied up listening to Patricia offer a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Establishing shot, low angle, 1 shot, pan movement 

Editing  

Continuous editing. Shot reverse shot.

2. The production company of our reference film, “leave the world behind”, is a combination of Netflix studios, Higher Ground Productions, Red Om Films, and Esmail Corp. These productions companies usually create films that are about how society is, the things surrounding it and the things that matter in our society. Before the film is released, they begin to release trailers, advertisements about it, and to link with their target audiences, they release things on certain social media platforms. The film that we will be researching, “Leave the world behind” is said to be a great thriller and mystery, people say that it keeps them on their toes and that its well engaged. 
    
   General Information about the film 

1. The films name,  “Leave the world behind”, is appropriate, however its more so to say the world revolving around technology. A tagline is a phrase used to capture the essence of a movie, this films tagline is “change comes when it's ready, not when you want it.” 

 

2. Tagline of Movie- A Tagline is a quick and memorable statement associated with your movie “there's no going back to normal ” 

3. Film Plot- A family on vacation hears the news that there's a blackout these 2 families have to decide how to best survive during the blackout while trying to find themselves as to where they fit in the world.
